Who is aliyyah?

Aliyyah Jackson is an alumna of The Ohio State University in Columbus, OH. In May of 2019, she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a Marketing emphasis from the esteemed Fisher College of Business.

She currently works as an associate producer at ESPN in Bristol, CT, where she has been working since June 2019. In her time there, Aliyyah has worked with the features group, Sportscenter and NBA Countdown, College Gameday and the WNCAA Tournament.

She previously served as the Sports Director at Lantern TV, Ohio State’s student news station. In this role, she was responsible for all the video coverage of Ohio State athletics. Her main focus was on Ohio State football and men’s basketball but she also managed other students to have full coverage of the rest of Ohio State’s sports.

Before working for Lantern TV, Aliyyah had also worked at FOX Sports Ohio/Sportstime Ohio, Ohio State’s Athletic Department, Big Ten Network Student U and Turner Sports in addition to writing for The Lantern, Ohio State’s student newspaper.

Additionally, Aliyyah was an active student leader on campus as a member of the Student-Alumni Council, the 2018 Homecoming Court, Block “O” Student Section and a founding member of the Ohio State Chapter of the National Association of Black Journalists and Black x Bold Magazine.

Outside of work, Aliyyah enjoys watching sports and fitness. She also likes spending time outdoors doing activities such as hiking, kayaking, camping and more.
